Dynamics 365 Business Central

One System for the Business That Has Outgrown Spreadsheets

When sales sits in one file, stock in another and accounts in a third, every question needs three people to answer it. Business Central puts finance, sales, purchase, inventory and jobs in one place, and a focused rollout has most businesses live in three to five months.

50+ ERP and software projects. Zero failed projects since 2021.

Why It Matters

Growth is what breaks the spreadsheet way of working

The files that carried you to twenty crore stop working at fifty. Stock does not match, the ageing is a week old, and nobody can say what an order actually earned.

Stock You Can Believe

The quantity on screen is the quantity in the godown

When stock is tracked in a separate sheet, sales promise things that are not there and purchase buys things that already are. In one system the quantity updates as goods move, so availability is real and the value in your books matches the shelf.

  • Live stock across locations and bins.
  • Reservations against confirmed orders.
  • Stock value that reconciles with the ledger.

Margin per Order

Know what an order earned, not just what it sold for

Once cost, freight, discount and rework sit against the same order, margin stops being a monthly guess. You can see which customers and products actually pay, and price the next quotation on evidence rather than habit.

  • Cost and revenue against the same document.
  • Margin by customer, product and job.
  • Quotations priced from real numbers.

How It Fits Together

The other chains that stop being manual

Sales is the obvious one, but the same principle applies to purchasing and to project work. Each chain starts and ends in the same system, with the ledger updating as it goes.

PRequisition to paymentRequisition, approval, purchase order, goods receipt, bill matching and payment, all against one document chain.
JJob to invoiceTime, material and expenses booked to the job, then billed with the margin visible before you invoice.
WReceipt to shelfInward goods, quality check, put-away and bin location, with stock value updating as it moves.
BBank to ledgerBank statements imported and matched against receipts and payments instead of ticked by hand.

FAQ

Business Central questions

What is Dynamics 365 Business Central?
Business Central is Microsoft's all-in-one business system for small and mid-sized companies. It covers finance, sales, purchase, inventory, warehousing, job costing and basic manufacturing in a single product, so a quotation, the order, the dispatch and the invoice all live on one record instead of in separate files.
How long does a Business Central implementation take?
A standard rollout covering finance, sales, purchase and inventory usually takes three to five months. Adding warehousing, job costing, manufacturing or several integrations extends that. The bigger variable is almost always the state of the data you are bringing across.
Is Business Central right for us, or do we need Dynamics 365 Finance?
Business Central suits most growing businesses: one or a few entities, straightforward manufacturing, and a team that wants to be live quickly. Dynamics 365 Finance and Supply Chain Management makes sense for larger groups with many entities, complex production or heavy compliance needs. We will tell you which one fits before you commit to licences.
Can we move from our current accounting software?
Yes, and it is the most common starting point. We map your ledgers, customers, suppliers, items and open balances, clean and de-duplicate them, load them into Business Central, and reconcile the opening position so your first close matches the books you are leaving behind.
Can Business Central be customized for our processes?
Yes. Much of what people ask for is configuration rather than code, which is always the better answer. Where a genuine gap exists, we build a proper extension so it survives Microsoft's updates instead of breaking twice a year.
What does support look like after go-live?
We run the first month-end with you, then continue as your support team: user questions, fixes, new reports, additional processes as you grow, and testing before each Microsoft update so the upgrades stay uneventful.
