Why It Matters

AWS is easy to start on and easy to misconfigure

Open security groups, unused resources, and a cost bill nobody can explain are common once infrastructure grows past the first few services. A dedicated engineer keeps it clean as you scale.

Security and Access, Owned

IAM that follows least privilege, not convenience

Overly broad permissions are the most common way AWS accounts get exposed. A dedicated engineer sets up IAM roles and policies that give each service and person exactly the access they need, and audits it as your team grows.

  • IAM roles scoped to least privilege.
  • Security groups reviewed, not left wide open.
  • Access audited as the team changes.

Cost Under Control

A bill you can explain, not just pay

Unused instances, oversized databases and forgotten snapshots quietly inflate the monthly bill. A dedicated engineer right-sizes resources and tracks spend against a plan, so cost growth matches usage growth.

  • Resources right-sized to actual load.
  • Unused infrastructure found and removed.
  • Cost tracked against a plan, not a surprise.

FAQ

Hiring AWS engineers, answered

What does a dedicated AWS engineer do?
They provision and manage your AWS infrastructure: compute, storage, networking and databases, set up IAM access controls, and keep an eye on cost and uptime as your usage grows.
How is an AWS engineer different from a Kubernetes engineer?
An AWS engineer manages the underlying cloud infrastructure. A Kubernetes engineer manages the containers and clusters that run on top of it. Many teams need both, and they work closely together. See our Kubernetes Engineers if you run containerized workloads.
Can the engineer work in our existing AWS account?
Yes. The engineer can work inside your existing account and infrastructure as code setup, or help you build one if you are starting fresh.
Do you only work with AWS, or other cloud providers too?
We place dedicated engineers for AWS, Microsoft Azure and Google Cloud. If your infrastructure runs on a different provider, see our Azure Engineers or Google Cloud Engineers instead.
What is the engagement model?
You can hire full time, part time, or for the length of a specific migration or build-out. Contracts scale as your infrastructure grows.
What if the engineer is not the right fit?
We replace the engineer at no extra cost during the engagement, and hand over infrastructure documentation and access to the new one.
