Ask Your Business a Question, Get the Working Behind the Answer

Most decisions get delayed because pulling the numbers takes longer than making the call. A decision assistant reads your own data, lays out the options with their trade-offs, and shows the records behind each one. The decision stays yours.

50+ ERP and software projects. Zero failed projects since 2021.

Why It Matters

The delay is rarely the decision. It is finding the numbers

By the time the working file comes back from three departments, the window has often closed and the call gets made on instinct anyway.

Answers in the Meeting

Stop adjourning to check a figure

A question that would take two days to answer properly usually gets answered from memory instead. The assistant pulls the relevant data while the discussion is still happening, so the meeting works from facts rather than recollection.

  • The relevant numbers pulled on the spot.
  • Options compared on the same basis.
  • Fewer decisions deferred to the next review.

Judgement Stays Human

The assistant shows the trade-off, you weigh it

Numbers do not capture a long customer relationship, a supplier who helped during a shortage, or a strategic reason to take a thin order. The assistant lays out what the data says and what it cannot see, and the person who owns the outcome decides.

  • Trade-offs stated plainly, with the evidence.
  • Gaps and assumptions called out, not hidden.
  • No action taken without a person approving it.

Questions It Answers

The kind of question that usually needs a working file

Each answer arrives with the period used, the assumptions applied, and the records it was built from, so you can challenge it before you act on it.

Which products actually make money?Margin viewRanked after discounts, freight, packaging and rework, not on list price.
Who should we chase for payment first?Collection viewOrdered by value at risk and how each account has paid historically.
Make it in-house or buy it in?Cost viewLoaded cost against quoted rate, with the capacity that would be used up.
Can we hold margin if we revise prices?Scenario viewEffect on the current order book at different levels of revision.
Which supplier performed best this year?Vendor viewPrice, on-time delivery, rejection rate and credit terms in one comparison.
Where is working capital stuck?Capital viewCash held in slow stock, overdue receivables and advances not yet settled.
How It Works

From a plain-language question to an answer you can check

1
Ask in plain language
Type the question the way you would ask a colleague, with no report codes to remember.
2
Pull the right data
The assistant identifies which systems and periods the question needs and reads them.
3
Apply your rules
Your cost basis, margin floors, credit policy and approval limits shape the analysis.
4
Lay out the options
Each option is compared on the same basis, with its trade-off and its risk stated.
5
You decide
You review the evidence and make the call. The assistant records what was decided and why.
What It Does

Six things a decision assistant handles

All of it runs on your own systems, under your existing permissions, and none of it commits the business to anything on its own.

💬

Understands the question

Reads a plain-language question and works out which data and period actually answer it.

📊

Compares the options

Puts the choices side by side on the same cost basis, so the comparison is honest.

🔍

Shows its working

Names the data used, the assumptions applied, and the records behind every figure.

⚖

Applies your policy

Margin floors, credit limits, discount bands and approval rules are built into the analysis.

📈

Runs what-if scenarios

Change a price, a volume or a lead time and see what it does to the order book and margin.

📝

Keeps a decision log

What was asked, what the data said, what was decided, so the reasoning survives the meeting.

FAQ

AI decision assistant questions

What is an AI decision assistant?
It is an assistant connected to your own business data that you can ask questions in plain language, such as which customers are worth extending credit to or whether a price change would hold margin. It pulls the relevant numbers, lays out the options with the trade-offs, and shows the records behind the answer. It supports the decision, and the person asking makes it.
Does it make decisions on its own?
No. It gathers the facts, compares the options and explains what each one implies, but it does not act. Nothing is approved, ordered, priced or committed unless a person does it. That boundary is deliberate and it does not change.
How do I know the answer is right?
Every answer shows its working: which data it used, which period, and the underlying records. If a figure looks wrong you can open it and check the transactions behind it. Where the data is thin or the question cannot be answered reliably, the assistant says so instead of guessing.
What kind of questions can it handle?
Practical operating questions: which products carry real margin after freight and discounts, which customers to prioritise for collection, whether to make or buy a component this quarter, how a price revision would affect the order book, and which supplier has actually performed best across the year.
Which data does it use?
Only your own systems: ERP, accounting software, CRM, production and inventory data, plus documents such as contracts and price lists where they are relevant. Access follows your existing permissions, so a person can only get answers from data they are already allowed to see.
How long does it take to set up?
A working assistant covering a first set of question types usually takes four to eight weeks, depending on how many systems it needs to read and how clean the data is. We start with the questions your leadership asks most often and extend from there.
