Document automation questions

How is this different from OCR or scanning?
OCR turns an image into text. Document automation goes further: it understands what the text means, extracts the right fields, validates them against your data, and posts the result into your systems, with oversight. OCR reads the page; automation acts on it.
Does it need a template for each vendor?
No. It reads the layout rather than relying on fixed field positions, so it handles new vendors and formats without a template to build and maintain for each one.
What happens when a document is unclear?
It stops and routes the document to a person with the issue highlighted, instead of guessing. Anything below a confidence threshold, or above a value you set, waits for approval.
Will it connect to our ERP?
Yes. We post data into Odoo, ERPNext, SAP and other systems through their APIs, and attach the source document so every entry traces back to where it came from.
How accurate is it?
On the documents it is built for, extraction is typically very high, and validation catches most of what slips. The point is not perfection without people, but catching errors before they post and routing the rest to a human.
How long until the first flow is live?
A focused first document type usually goes live in about four to six weeks, depending on volume and the systems it touches.
